West Kerry artist Liam O’Neill, whose recent move into sculpture has drawn major acclaim, is travelling to Chicago to receive iBAM’s 2025 Visual Arts award and showcase his work at the Irish American Heritage Center.

The 2025 iBAM! Awards in Chicago will honour several prominent figures in Irish culture, with Liam O’Neill recognised in the Visual Arts category. iBAM! (Irish Books, Art & Music).

Liam O’Neill’s art reflects his deep connection to Kerry and Irish traditions, capturing both the natural landscape and communal memories through expressive oils and powerful bronze sculptures. His recent sculptural works range from modest pieces to dramatic bronze tableaux, rooted in local stories and personal history.
