Bígí linn don gceol agus don gcraic in Ionad an Bhlascaoid, ach a seolfar ‘Riastáil’, an chéad leabhar ó pheann an ealaíontóra Liam Ó Néill.
Join us on the 16th of November for music and craic in Ionad an Bhlascaoid, where ‘Riastáil’ will be launched, the first book by artist Liam O’Neill.
Is ceiliúradh a bheidh san ócáid áirithe seo, agus Liam ag féachaint siar ar a shaol go dtí seo. Tá ealaíontóirí eile tugtha ar bord ag Liam chun cur leis an oíche- an ceoltóir Cormac Begley agus an t-amhránaí Sláine Ní Chathalláin.
Tá Liam ar dhuine de na healaíontóirí comhaimseartha is cumasaí in Éirinn. Fear ann féin é, péintéir féinmhúinte agus féinspreagtha atá ag riastáil i ngort na healaíona le breis agus dhá scór bliain. Sa leabhar comórtha Riastáil, tráchtann Liam go cumasach, go cruthaitheach agus go comhbhách i nGaeilge bhinn bhlasta a mhuintire ar an saol mar is cuimhin leis é i gCathair Scoilbín agus i gCorca Dhuibhne.
This particular event will be a celebration, with Liam looking back on his life to date. Liam has brought other artists on board to add to the night, including musician Cormac Begley and singer Sláine Ní Chathalláin. Liam is one of Ireland’s most talented contemporary artists. He is a man in his own right, a self-teaching and self-motivated painter who has been governing in the field of the arts for over two decades. In the commemorative book Riastáil, Liam speaks competently, creatively and empatheticly in the Irish language of his family’s life as he remembers it in Cathair Scuilibín and in Corca Dhuibhne.
